EMSHOCKNET

The major research network administering RACE is EMSHOCKNET. The Emergency Medicine Shock Research Network is a US research network focusing on clinical issues related to the pathophysiology, diagnosis, risk-stratification, and treatment of various forms of shock, particularly septic shock and undifferentiated shock. It is comprised primarily of emergency and critical care physicians and the major activity of this network is conducting large multi-center observational and interventional research studies.

The mission of EM Shock Net is to improve the care of critically ill and injured patients primarily through research innovations. The majority of the research conducted by the Network takes place in emergency departments and intensive care units in acutely ill patient populations.

Berry Consultants

Berry Consultants is a statistical consulting group specializing in adaptive clinical trial design in pharmaceutical and medical device research and development. They are leaders in the Bayesian approach to medical statistics. This approach is radically changing the way research is done throughout the medical industry (device and drug development). NIGMS
